SNYDER—Western Texas College will celebrate its graduating students at the 2025 Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony takes place at the WTC Coliseum, 900 East Coliseum Drive in Snyder.
The ceremony is free and open to the public. Graduating students may invite as many people as they would like. Guests may sit in the upper levels of the Coliseum. The Coliseum reserves the floor area for graduates, faculty, staff, and handicapped seating before and during the ceremony. A reception immediately follows the ceremony, and guests are welcome to come to the floor of the WTC Coliseum at that time.
“Our graduates overcame challenges, reached major milestones, and now prepare to take their next steps,” said Dr. Barb Beebe, College President. “The ceremony honors their grit, celebrates their achievements, and launches them into a future filled with opportunity.”
For those unable to attend the ceremony, navigate to the Western Texas College YouTube channel to livestream the event.
The ceremony program features several key participants: Stephanie Ducheneaux, Dean of Instructional Affairs, who will present the class of 2025; Jason West, President of the Western Texas College Board of Trustees, who will confer the degrees; and Dr. Geron Scates, Professor and KGWB Station Manager, who will introduce the graduates. Dr. Beebe will give the welcome and the closing remarks.
“Each graduate in this class carved out their own path and pushed forward with purpose,” observed Ralph Ramon, Vice-President and Dean of Student Services.
“We invite families, friends, and our community to join us and recognize the hard work that shaped this proud moment."
