TRANSFER: GOING PLACES?
If you plan to transfer to a 4-year public university in Texas, the Core Curriculum is your passport to success.
Here’s why:
All students who earn a 4-year degree from a Texas public university must complete a similar group of classes that make up the Core Curriculum. State rules guarantee that core classes successfully completed at Western Texas College will be accepted at any public university in Texas. You can complete the core classes at WTC for a fraction of the cost of a university and know that every course will contribute to your bachelor’s degree.
WTC’s counselors and advisors will work carefully with you to develop a complete degree plan that includes both your community college and four-year courses for a seamless path to your bachelor’s degree.
Universities across Texas partnered with WTC to create an easier transfer experience. The schools below represent a sampling of partners. If you plan to transfer to a public university in Texas, you can expect a relatively seamless transfer.
