The Scurry County Museum will host the WTC Student Art Show beginning Tuesday, April 15, through Friday, April 25. The exhibit highlights the creativity and talent of Western Texas College art students. This special exhibit features a wide variety of student artwork, ranging from paintings and drawings to mixed media and digital designs.

“This show is the culmination of two semesters of growth and hard work for many of these students,” said Patrick Schneider, Assistant Professor of Art. “I am proud of their efforts and excited for the public to see and experience this talent and diligence through art.”

Organized in partnership with the WTC Art Department, the exhibit showcases emerging student artists from WTC and provides space to share their work with the community. It also offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience a variety of perspectives and creative voices of the College’s art students.

The exhibit features work by Dalila Aguilar, Emily Escobedo, Estella Martin, Natalie Merket, Avery Owen, Ariel Schmidt, Ragan Smith, and Alexandria R. Welch.

WTC invites the public to a reception at the Museum from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22. Guests can meet the artists and learn more about their creative process. Light refreshments will be served.

The Scurry County Museum is located at 6200 College Avenue in Snyder on the Western Texas College campus and is open to the public during regular hours. Admission to both the exhibit and reception is free.
