BUILDING THE FUTURE OF WTC TOGETHER

The future of Western Texas College starts with listening.

“Serving Students Together: A 10-Year Strategy for Western Texas College (2026–2036)” provides a roadmap for the College's future and reflects the voices of the students, employees, trustees, school districts, workforce partners, community leaders, alumni, and stakeholders who participated in President Laurie Sharp's Listening Tour.

Throughout the Listening Tour, participants shared what they value about WTC, the challenges facing students and communities, and opportunities for growth and improvement. Those conversations helped shape a strategic plan focused on student success, workforce development, community impact, and long-term sustainability.

The result is a clear, student-centered strategy designed to help Western Texas College continue serving students and strengthening communities across the region for the next decade.

Implementation begins immediately through annual action plans, measurable performance indicators, and regular progress updates to the Board of Trustees and the community.

FOUR STRATEGIC POINTS

Western Texas College's Serving Students Together strategic plan provides a shared vision for student success, workforce excellence, and regional impact.
