Degrees & Certificates Offered

The Golf Course and Sports Field Turf Management program offers the Associate in Applied Science Degree as well as a certificate program.

The A.A.S program requires students to complete 60 semester credit hours of coursework with 45 in the major area of study and 15 in general education coursework. The one-year certificate requires students to complete 25 hours of turf-related coursework, all of which can be applied to the Associate Degree.

Job Outlook

Turf managers are expected to have excellent job prospects. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor, employment is projected to grow 10% through 2029, which is much faster than the average for all occupations.

Students enrolled in this program are required to have personal health/accident insurance and are subject to random drug testing.
