DEGREE & CERTIFICATE OFFERED

The Golf Course and Sports Field Turf Management program offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree as well as a certificate program.

The A.A.S. program requires students to complete 60 semester credit hours of coursework with 45 in the major area of study and 15 in general education coursework. The one-year certificate requires students to complete 25 hours of turf-related coursework, all of which can be applied to the Associate Degree.

JOB OUTLOOK

Turf managers are expected to have excellent job prospects. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor, employment is projected to grow 10% through 2029, which is much faster than the average for all occupations.

GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

 

ALCOHOL/DRUG TESTING

As part of WTC's Alcohol/Drug policy, random, reasonable cause, and post-accident drug and alcohol tests are performed on students during their time in the program.

PROOF OF HEALTH INSURANCE

Health insurance is required of all students entering the program.
