HOW TO APPLY AND REGISTER FOR CLASS

New Students

Step 1

Complete an application for admissions using either Apply TexasWTC online application, or download a WTC application (pdf).

Step 2

Request an official college(s) or high school transcript.

(Fax or photocopy will not be considered an official copy. To obtain your grade at the end of a semester, an official transcript(s) must have been received by the Admissions Office.)

Mail, fax, or email all required documents (listed above) to:

Western Texas College
Attn: Admissions Office
6200 College Ave.

Step 3

Once admitted, you will receive an email with your username and password.

You are not able to register yourself. Here's what you need to do next:

  • You will log into YourWTC account and click on COURSE AVAILABILITY.

  • Select the TERM and add the COURSE(S) you are interested in to your plan. If you are registering for a flex or summer course, please scroll down and click COURSE TYPE. Please disregard any prerequisite error messages.

  • You will then click the HOME icon, then STUDENT PLANNING, then STEP 2 - PLAN YOUR DEGREE.

  • Click ADVISING and then REQUEST REVIEW.

If you need to email your advisor, you may also COMPOSE A NOTE under ADVISING and click SAVE.

Your Advisor will be notified once the course(s) are added to your plan and will get you registered for your courses once your prerequisites are verified. You will receive a confirmation email of your enrollment.

Returning Students

Returning students, who have not attended another college or institution since attending WTC, can register for classes through their YourWTC account. If it has been more than two years, the student will need to reapply to WTC.

Returning students who must reapply and who have attended another college or institution since attending WTC need to submit an official transcript from the college or institution last attended. (Once admitted, a confirmation will be sent to the email you provide with instructions to log into your YourWTC account and register.)

Returning students who have attended another college or institution and need to show proof of the required prerequisite for a course can submit an unofficial transcript to Email Pre Requisite WTC.
