"Triangle Sinclair Station" - Permanent Gallery

This iconic landmark has been faithfully restored by local resident, Lynn Fuller. The exhibit on display at the Scurry County Museum goes into detail about the history of the station over the years and many of the unique pieces of Sinclair memorabilia that Mr. Fuller has collected over the years. Don't miss this chance to see the station in a new light!

"Boots, Broncos, & Buckles: Scurry County Rodeos"

This is your chance to revisit county and college rodeos from Scurry County from the past few decades. There are trophies, history, and plenty of great photographs that comprise this exhibit. This rodeo exhibit is only up through June 30th, so don't miss out.

"World War One Exhibit" - Permanent Gallery

This exhibit commemorates the centennial of America's entry into the "Great War." Our display focuses on the men from Scurry County. We have had a great response from the public coming out to visit this exhibit, so make sure you don't miss it!

"Snyder Square: Then & Now"

This exhibit traces the history of the Snyder square through photos and objects on display. When you stop in to see this display, you'll tour over 100 years of history about the Snyder square in one location! Visitors will have the opportunity to add their comments of the square of tell us more about the stores that were there. This exhibit will be on display through July 26th.

Once you visit the Snyder Square exhibit, there are Saturday tours to compliment the exhibit. These are FREE tours open to the public, but RSVP's are required for headcounts.  This is an hour long walking tour around the Snyder Square at 10:00 am on the third Saturday of each month starting on Saturday May 20th and continuing on June 17, and July 15. On the tour, we will visit different locations, learn more about the history of the buildings, and see pictures from the museum collection of the square over the decades.

Paleo Tours - Scurry Co. Museum, Texas Tech, Roland Springs Ranch

Paleo tours are back! Want your chance to visit a real paleontology dig site? Texas Tech, Roland Springs, and the Scurry County Museum are teaming up to show off this amazing 6.6 million year old dig site in Scurry County.

Tours are opened on a limited basis during the dig season and due to being an active dig site, must be limited in size. There will be a total of six tours this year with an increase to 40 people per tour, compared to last year with 4 tours and 30 people per dig, this is a big increase. There has been a high level of interest in the digs since last year. Working together, we have expanded the offerings.

The tours are at 8:00 am and 10:00 am on June 17th, 24th, and July 1st. The tours are reserved by calling or visiting the Scurry County Museum to book your day and time. 

The tours open for public scheduling on Friday May 12th, Scurry County Museum members can book starting today May 10th.

A wide brimmed hat, good walking shoes, sunscreen, and water are all strongly recommended.
