Drive the Future and Make a Difference: Become a School Bus Driver!
The Western Texas College Opportunity Center will offer School Bus Driver Training this summer, designed to help CDL holders obtain the school bus endorsements needed to drive a school bus. This opportunity can help you begin a rewarding and meaningful career transporting students safely to and from school.
The comprehensive 10-day course includes classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training to prepare you for the responsibilities and requirements of becoming a licensed school bus driver. Whether you are looking for a new career opportunity, a flexible schedule, or a way to serve your community, this training will get you started.
Our professional instructors will guide you through the training process and prepare you with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to confidently pursue your school bus driver license.
Two Training Sessions Available
Session 1
June 29 – July 15, 2026
Monday – Thursday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Session 2
July 20 – August 4, 2026
Monday – Thursday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Course Cost
$2,000 for the full 10-day course that includes behind-the-wheel instruction.
Important Requirements
You must pre-register for this class by contacting the WTC Opportunity Center.
You must complete ELDT (Entry-Level Driver Training) prior to the first day of class.
You must also obtain your CLP (Commercial Learner’s Permit) no less than 7 days before the class start date.
