Lora Poe

Western Texas College is pleased to welcome Lora Poe to campus. She brings a dynamic blend of heart and vision to her role as WTC’s new Foundation and Event Coordinator. Lora sees this opportunity as more than a job; it’s a calling to uplift, engage, and inspire both the college and the greater Snyder area.

Lora holds a Business degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University, a field that reflects her dedication to understanding people and helping them thrive in professional and educational environments. Her academic background laid the groundwork for a career rooted in leadership, innovation, and service.

Before joining WTC, Lora spent fourteen years owning and operating a successful licensed daycare. She built a nurturing business that stood out for its quality, care, and consistency. For five of those years, she led a team that developed a research based business model targeting teacher turnover. The results were impressive: her center maintained a four-star state rating, a testament to her strategic thinking and commitment to excellence.

What truly sets Lora apart is her passion for people. Whether planning a community event, collaborating with stakeholders, or simply welcoming someone to campus, her goal is always the same: to make others feel seen and supported.

Although her roots trace back to East Texas, Lora has proudly called Snyder home for the past twenty-two years. Her love for this West Texas town runs deep, and she’s excited to give back to the community that raised her children, shaped her career, and captured her heart.

At Western Texas College, Lora is ready to elevate events, strengthen community ties, and help turn big ideas into meaningful impact. With a warm spirit and an unstoppable work ethic, she’s here to make a difference!
