Audio Production

  1. Basic Course Information:
    1. Course Description: Practical experience in the operation of audio equipment, including both pre-and post-production needs.
    2. Any required prerequisites: None
    3. Regular attendance and self-discipline is critical.
  2. Student Learning Outcomes:  Upon successful completion of this course, students will:
    1. Identify audio equipment necessary for content production.
    2. Demonstrate understanding of effective sound editing techniques.
    3. Operate studio equipment to create audio content.
    4. Demonstrate basic announcing skills.
  3. Major Course Requirements
    1. There will be 14 Chapter Quizzes: 10 points each = 140
    2. There will be 8 Production Assignments: 20 points each = 160
    3. The student MUST participate in at least four live broadcasts as assigned: 25 points each = 100. These can be on-air  OR off – air.
    4. There are 2 Unit Exams = 100
    5. Final Audio Feature Production Exam = 200
    6. Total points = 700.

    2. Flash drive with at least 2GB capacity
