Student Success Center

Tutoring Overview

Western Texas College wants you to be successful; that’s why WTC created the Student Success Center. The Student Success Center provides tutoring free-of-charge to all currently enrolled WTC students.

When a student has a question or is stuck on a problem, a tutor can help guide the student through the reasoning process to find the solution.  Tutors further assist students in locating and utilizing resources to develop time management, note-taking, and test-taking skills.

Walk-In Hours:
Staff and tutors will be available to assist students during specific open hours, no appointment needed.

Monday        1:00-3:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm
Wednesday    1:00-3:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm
Thursday        1:00-3:00 pm

Individual Tutoring Appointments:
Scheduled appointments help us to serve you better, as we can match you with a tutor who specializes in the subject matter in which you need assistance.  You can request tutoring services in one of three ways:

  1. Stop by the Student Success Center office (Bldg. 2, Rm. 211) and complete a "Request for Tutoring Services" form, found in the rack outside the office.  If you are dropping off your request after hours, slip the completed form under the door, and we will contact you with more information.
  2. Email the tutoring department at tutoring@wtc.edu.
  3. Call us at 325-574-7917.
