
WTC to Hold 50th Commencement Ceremony May 3
SNYDER - Western Texas College will hold its 50th commencement ceremony for the graduating class of 2022 on Tuesday, May 3, at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the WTC Coliseum, 900 East Coliseum Drive in Snyder.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate fifty years of graduates,” said Dr. Barb Beeb, College President. “We’re very proud of our alumni and happy to usher the 2022 class onto the next stage of their lives, whether it’s heading into the workforce or continuing their education.”
Graduates are welcome to invite family and friends to this year’s ceremony. Guest seating is located on the upper levels of the venue. Handicap access is available. The ceremony is open to the public.
The floor area of the WTC Coliseum is reserved for graduates, faculty, staff, and handicapped seating before and during the ceremony. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony and guests are welcome to come to the floor of the WTC Coliseum at that time.
For those not able to attend the ceremony, WTC’s YouTube channel will live stream the event. Interested viewers can navigate to the College’s homepage at wtc.edu for the link.
Several students will take part in the ceremony. The students include Baylee Green, Jeremiah Valenzuela, and Mallory Govea. Dean Thompson is the Distinguished Student Speaker.
