WTC Celebrates World Teachers' Day!

Western Texas College thanks our dedicated and enthusiastic faculty as we honor them during this, World Teachers' Day!
Although a number of websites state that World Teachers Day was first observed in 1994, the date, October 5th, actually commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 UNESCO Recommendation concerning the rights and responsibilities, recruitment and employment, and teaching and learning conditions for Teachers.
So, thank you faculty, for all you do for our students and for Western Texas College! We couldn't do it without you!
Although the official celebratory event will take place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on October 7th, please accept our hearty stateside merci et félicitaions!
