Western Texas College Biology Department


The Biology Department provides academic experiences in the life sciences that meet various student needs.

The courses offered cover a broad range of subjects from General Biology, which all majors must take, to Nutrition, Anatomy & Physiology, and Microbiology.

Our goal is to provide a firm foundation in modern biological sciences that will prepare students for a multitude of careers that depend on a solid understanding of biology.
