  1. Basic Course Information
    1. Course description: In-depth study of system forensics including methodologies used for analysis of computer security breaches. Gather and evaluate evidence to perform postmortem analysis of a security breach. Any required prerequisites: None.
  2. Student Learning Outcomes
    1. Identify computer investigation issues; identify legal issues associated with computer investigations; collect and document evidence; evaluate network traffic, and evaluate recovered remnant or residual data. Measurement determined by what methods are used to evaluate the traffic and how in-depth the evaluation is. Define computer terminology. Grading will be measured by examination.
  3. Major Course Requirements
    1. Requirement: There will be 2 chapter exams.
    2. Requirement: There will be a final exam over three chapters.
