The institution publishes admission policies consistent with its mission.
Western Texas College’s Admissions Policies are published on the College’s website, on pages 18-20 in the printed 2006-2007 catalog, and in the Course Schedule. Consistent with its Mission Statement as a ”comprehensive public community college which provides open access and equal education opportunity as it supports the lifelong needs of a multicultural society”, WTC’s admissions policies and requirements are in place to serve students seeking two-years of accredited college-level transferable courses in arts and sciences, on- and two-year occupational programs leading directly to gainful employment, courses that will allow them to enter industry or business with a marketable skill, and continuing education credits to improve their technical, professional, or cultural skills, and knowledge. In addition to these areas, the College offers early admissions to qualified high school students taking concurrent or ITV courses.
