Charles Long has been chosen to begin the men’s and women’s soccer program at Western Texas College.  Long comes to WTC with a wide range of experience developing programs and coaching at the collegiate level.    On the collegiate level Long has developed programs at Belhaven College, University of West Florida, Mount Marty College and Southwestern Oregon Community College.  Together with his college coaching, Long has worked with all ages developing  club programs, ODP, select teams and semi-professional.  Son of missionary parents, Long grew up playing soccer in the streets of Brazil and has played at all levels. 

Long holds a master’s degree in intercultural studies and physical education.  He is fluent in Portuguese, his native language.

Men & Women Assistant Coach/Administrator - Angela Long

Angela comes to Western Texas College with experience  assistant coaching, managing programs, fundraising,  promotions, administration and running camps.  She has helped at the collegiate level, high school and youth levels in all areas and will be a great asset to our first year program.
