Did you know that Western Texas College offers one of the only non-technical associate's degrees in Wind Energy in the United States?
 
An associate's degree in Wind Energy from Western Texas College can lead to a Bachelor of Science degree in Wind Energy at Texas Tech University. Texas Tech University is one of the only schools in the United States offering a bachelor's degree in wind that focuses on multidisciplinary studies. WTC works very closely with the Wind Energy department at Texas Tech to ensure a seamless transfer.


At WTC, we provide opportunities that mesh with your life. All of the wind energy courses at Western Texas College are offered online and in the traditional classroom setting. The Wind Energy classes utilize hands-on, Project Based Learning that allows students to work with leading software and technology in a real-world environment.

 

 

Job Outlook:

The wind energy industry is growing fast; employers will be looking to hire 300,000 employees in the next 15 years.

Upon graduation from Texas Tech University, potential employment opportunities may include: Wind Farm Developer, Wind Field Operations Manager, Wind Project Site Manager, Renewables Account Representative, and Wind Resource Assessor. While these positions require previous experience, they all have entry level assistant positions.
