CIRCULATION

The front circulation desk is the primary service area. Identification is required for circulation privileges.

WTC student, faculty and staff IDs are used as library cards. You must present your student or faculty ID to be registered at the library circulation desk.

Students may checkout regular circulating books for two weeks, and/or DVDsBlurays for 3 days. Materials can be renewed one time by returning to the Circulation Desk. Overdue books will be assessed fines of 10 cents per day, per book. DVDs/Blurays 50 cents per day, per movie. Fines owed are due by noon the last class day of each semester. This amount must be paid along with any other fees owed to obtain a transcript. This policy is in effect each enrollment period: semester, summer session, and mini sessions. Lost material will be assessed the replacement cost. If the material is returned, the business office will credit the student account for the cost. Borrowers with unpaid fines and fees will have borrowing privileges suspended.

Reserve items are chosen by the instructor and available at the circulation desk. These items can not be checked out and are in-library use only. Reference books, periodicals, microforms, newspapers and magazines are in-library use only. Interlibrary loan is available for items not owned by WTC, please refer to the ILL information guide for procedures.

NOTE: HOLD GRADES ON STUDENT ACCOUNTS - Students with fines from late returns or material not turned in will have a hold grade placed on their account. A hold grade will prevent the student from registering, requesting a transcript and/or graduating. The hold grade will only be removed when the fines have been paid and the account is released by the library or business office.

The Library’s combined Circulation and Information Counter is located centrally on the first floor of the LRC. Entrance into the Library is through a security system portal in front of the counter. In addition to the 24-hour book drop accessible from outside, another book drop is located in this counter.
