WIND ENERGY CURRICULUM SPECIALIST - Title V Grant

 

Basic Function & Responsibility

  • Reports directly to Title V Activity Director
  • 12 Month Contract
  • 100% Time & Effort
  • Position will be assumed by college at conclusion of the grant.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead activity implementation and coordinate all curriculum development efforts ensuring that each new course/program meets all approval requirements. 
  • Directly coordinate curriculum development for the Wind Energy Technology Program including:
    • Design and develop competency-based program curriculum
    • Prepare syllabi and course outlines
    • Pilot instruction including lecture and lab
    • Evaluate pilot results & revise curriculum accordingly
    • Develop/coordinate lab prep for courses
    • Prepare materials to inform WTC community about new program objectives, requirements, and employment opportunities.
    •  Support effective student advisement about participation in new academic programs
    • Coordinate development of online/hybrid course as appropriate for corresponding individual program area

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.), Applied Science (A.S.) or Certifications required.  Experience in wind energy, wind energy related technology or education preferred.  Experience in project and personnel management, evaluation, instructional / curriculum design experience preferred.  Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.  Bilingual preferred.
