GED Exam

Cost for the GED exam is $90 for the full battery or a $40 plus $10.00 a section for individual sections. Bring a Texas driver’s license or a Texas government issued picture ID and a Social Security card or you will not be able to test. Pre-registration is required. Payment for testing must be made in testing center at least 5 days in advance of testing. If you miss your scheduled time to test without notifying the GED examiner before the day of the test, you will be required to re-register and re-pay. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

GED Testing Services has developed a new series of the GED tests which will be released on January 1, 2012. All GED examinees should be advised that scores earned on the current 2002 series or previous tests will not be able to be combined with those earned on the new 2012 series. By December 31, 2011, examinees must have taken and earned minimum scores on all five content area tests and earned minimum total passing standard on the 2002 series, or they will need to take the entire 2012 series test battery.
